Developments in Language Theory, DLT 2007

The 11th edition of DLT will take place at the University of Turku, Turku, Finland on July 3–6, 2007. Papers presenting original contributions in formal languages, automata theory, and related areas are being sought. Simultaneous submissions of papers to any other conference (with published proceedings) are not allowed.

Lecture Notes in Computer Science The proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) Series. Selected papers will appear in a special issue of IJFCS.

TOPICS

Typical, but not exclusive, topics include: grammars, acceptors and transducers for words, trees and graphs; algebraic theories of automata; algorithmic, combinatorial and algebraic properties of words and languages; variable length codes; symbolic dynamics; cellular automata; polyominoes and multidimensional patterns; decidability questions; image manipulation and compression; efficient text algorithms; relationships to cryptography, concurrency, complexity theory and logic; bio-inspired computing; quantum computing.
