Complex Systems and Computing
Leader: Jarkko Kari
The group investigates unconventional methods of information processing inspired by nature. The research topics include mathematical and computational aspects of
- cellular automata,
- quantum computing and quantum information theory,
- molecular computing, and
- self-assembly.
The focus is on algorithmic aspects, including decidability issues. The group consists of two professors, two senior scientist, one postdoctoral reserarcher and three PhD students.
