Scope

The scope of the symposium is centered on cellular automata, tilings and related models of computation. Topics of interest include (but are not limited to) algorithmic, computability, complexity, symbolic dynamics, topological, ergodic, algebraic, and structure aspects of these models.

Submission

Authors are invited to submit an extended abstract in English no longer than 12 pages (in JAC LaTeX style, downloadable from http://www.math.utu.fi/jac2010/submission.html) related to the above topics. Proofs omitted due to space constraints may be put into an appendix to be read by the referees at their discretion. Electronic submissions should be formatted in pdf. Further details concerning the submission procedure (handled by EasyChair) will be available on the conference web page.

Simultaneous submission to other conferences with published proceedings is not allowed.

Proceedings

Accepted papers will be published in the proceedings of the symposium. These proceedings will take the form of an archive in an open access electronic repository, guaranteeing perennial, free and easy electronic access, while the authors will retain the rights over their work. With their submission, authors consent to sign a license authorizing the program committee chairs to organize the electronic publication of their paper if it is accepted. Participants to the conference will also receive a printed version of the proceedings.
